WhoAmI

I'm Ignacio Utrilla, based in Lugano, CH. I trained on a Swiss dual track: a Federal SFC apprenticeship in Software Development alongside a BSc in Computer Science, while already working, so everything I learned got tested in production early. My full-stack toolbox spans Python, TypeScript/React, Node.js, Java/Kotlin and PostgreSQL, from designing relational schemas to shipping features end to end. I speak Italian and Spanish natively, English fluently, and I'm actively building up my German. Beyond the binaries, I have a deep affinity for Linux, a love for fantasy literature, and a commitment to staying active. Every challenge, in code or in life, is an opportunity for growth.

  1. Co-Founder & CTO, CourtX · CTO, PeakyAppsTwo founding-engineer mandates run in parallel, both closed Aug 2026. At CourtX, built the multi-currency payments, commission and payout engine from scratch, then hired and led a 2-person engineering team; shipped an LLM review pipeline (OpenAI & Anthropic APIs) that screens 100% of marketplace listings before publication, replacing manual moderation entirely. 4 production surfaces (storefront, ops dashboard, iOS/Android app, public API) from one codebase, containerised on Kubernetes on AWS. At PeakyApps, introduced agentic coding as the default workflow and delivered commercial products end to end, including a Stripe-billed AI email-template SaaS and an automated lead-generation pipeline with CRM sync.

  2. Software Engineer, WellDBuilt Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot backend services and React frontends for the City of Lugano's management software, working test-first with Git-based code review. Shipped and maintained in production with no regressions traced to code merged under this workflow.
